Applying quality control procedures to gas filling is now essential, as the process becomes an integral part of IG unit production for many manufacturers. Inagas offers a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive test equipment, allowing the manufacturer to confirm that the required percentage fill is being achieved consistently. This is a fundamental requirement to maintain the performance standards which are required by the latest European legislation. The Gasglass-1002 is the ultimate non-invasive test system and represents a breakthrough in Argon gas testing. Based on spectrometer technology, the machine ignites a high voltage spark inside the IG unit which causes the Argon atom to emit light to the spectrometer. A microprocessor analyses the information and calculates and displays the Argon percentage. The results can be downloaded to a PC for future reference. Gasglass technology allows units to be tested randomly, giving QA departments an immediate insight into product integrity. A self-adhesive label printer is now available, allowing manufacturers to display gas percentages or a pass/fail notice on units from every batch. For full technical information on Gasglass, open the PDF on this page. TestAr 2 is the latest in invasive gas testing equipment. Its features include visual display of gas fill percentage, gas calibration system, inbuilt pump and Argon sensor, ensuring fast and accurate readings. Results can be downloaded to a PC for database records and a printer is also available. The system includes a hole punch and is contained in a portable case. TestAr gives IG unit producers a quick and easy method of checking gas concentration levels. It contains a pump which draws the gas over an Argon sensor which then indicates the level of gas concentration in the unit by a simple light display: red light = 0% -20%, yellow light = 20%-85% and green light = 85%-100%. The TestAr is supplied in its own case which contains a battery recharging unit and a punch for piercing the IG unit.
